Evaluation and Treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders and Craniofacial Pain (TMD)

Date: August 6-7, 2022

Location: Nashua, NH

I had the great pleasure of teaching my course in Nashua, NH at St. Joseph Hospital Outpatient Center on the weekend of August 6th and 7th, 2022. It was a truly great class, with really, kind, and gifted clinicians from all around the US. We had 2 Dentists attend and 1 Speech Therapist who is also trained in Myofunctional Therapy. Having some professional diversity during a class always adds to the learning environment and continues to foster the need for a multidisciplinary approach to treating patients suffering from Temporomandibular Disorders, Orofacial Pain, Airway issues, Swallowing Issues, etc. I want to give a HUGE shout-out to Melissa Simonis. She is a long-term Physical Therapist and employee of St. Joseph’s. She was just an amazing host and thanks to her we were able to put this fantastic weekend together. Thanks to St. Joseph Hospital for a great facility to allow me to share my passion!

Evaluation and Treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders and Craniofacial Pain (TMD)

Date: July 17-18, 2022

Location: Brooklyn, NY

On the weekend of July 17th and 18th, 2022 had the pleasure of teaching my 2-day Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain course to the therapists at Evolve Physical Therapy located in Brooklyn, NY. I applaud the owner Louis Ezrick and his team. It is no easy task in this current health care environment to run and own truly independent physical therapy-owned private practices. Evolve now has 4 clinics, and we were able to kick off my course at their new clinic in Gravesend, before their opening day, so I felt very honored! The entire staff of therapists was fantastic with expert manual skills. I think the addition and further growth in the knowledge and treatment in TMD will continue to provide them an edge over their competition. A big thanks to Lou and his team for the invite and keep up the great work EVOLVE PT! Continue to promote the value of Physical Therapy and niche practices like managing patients suffering from TMJ-related pain.
